well,
i'm new around here, so could
anyone please explain what is the topic of this
post and what i'm supposed to comment because frankly
i'm confused i thought i mean maybe there was actually
something in the sense of a thing that could maybe
signify or otherwise in case we agreed but then would it
really make any considerable amount of coherent sense
that is meaning and that would be worth the time and effort
to write or read for one?

(if not, we might just as
well keep it at that and not waste each others' eyes
and such on such epiphanies of
lessness and remain calm before
reading or writing any further stay within that is
within the margin of not-having-done or potential being
the wonderful aristotelian thing that is
not quite that is pretty much but not actually
as a post that didn't quite get there
on time
saving the day?)

Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!

This is pretty bad if we have a post ONLY for comments, and yet we have only, prior to my comment here, 6 comments. I wish that people would take commenting seriously, but everyone is too busy wishing comments would come to their own comments area on their own blogs, and never commenting on anyone else's. And while we are on the subject of comments, does anyone really comment for any other reason except to "see" themselves think and to see if they can dominate a comments thread?

Anonymous said...

i'd like to comment on that

this?

James said...

Diran, people might comment for the reasons you see. However, what I've noticed is that people comment because they want to talk to each other and the post they're commenting about is secondary. This is accepted when people play risk, but I guess it's not when it comes to websites.

DIRAN LYONS said...

I don't mean to have such a literal understanding of what "comments" are for. It is certain we can just talk about sports, who is dating who, where we are going to watch a movie tonight, life in general, anything, even when the post is about Global Warming. But I guess talking to each other I reserve for being in the same space, cell phones, e-mail, etc. Comments are sacred, and should stay on task. Complete literalness. Ok, don't take any of this literally. lol.

"save a horse ride a cowboy!" i need substance post something informative

Anonymous said...

Yes! Big and Rich is back!! Long time.

Post something informative? I'll give it a shot, but no promises:

The very basis of each of the philosophies of emancipation has been invalidated over the 20th century. 'All that is real is rational, all that is rational is real': Auschwitz refutes such a speculative doctrine. At least that crime, which was real, was not rational. 'All that is proletarian is communist, all that is communist is proletarian': Berlin 1953, Budapest 1956, Czechoslovakia 1968, Poland 1980, etc, refute the doctrine of historical materialism, the workers rise up against the party. 'All that is democratic exists through and for the people, and vice versa': May 1968 refutes the doctrine of parliamentary liberalistic thought. 'If left to themselves, the laws of supply and demand will result in universal prosperity': the crisis of 1929 refutes the doctrine of economic liberalism.

How about that? Well, actually, it wasn't too informative. But interesting to trace through.

Gozer the Gozerian... good evening. As a duly designated representative of the City, County and State of New York, I order you to cease any and all supernatural activity and return forthwith to your place of origin or to the nearest convenient parallel dimension.

Well, it's Groundhog Day... again... and that must mean we're up here at Gobbler's Knob waiting for the forecast from the world's most-famous groundhog weatherman, Punxsutawney Phil, who's just about to tell us how much more winter we can expect.

Now lemme tell you somethin'. I've had enough of Irish Americans who haven't been back to their country in twenty or thirty years come up to me and talk about the resistence, the revolution back home. And the glory of the revolution, and the glory of dyin' for the revolution. F*ck the revolution! They don't talk about the glory of killing for the revolution. What's the glory in takin' a man from his bed and gunnin' him down in front of his wife and his children? Where's the glory in that? Where's the glory in bombing a Rememberance Day parade of old-aged pensioners, their medals taken out and polished up for the day. Where's the glory in that? To leave them dyin', or crippled for life, or dead, under the rubble of a revolution that the majority of the people of my country don't want. Sing no more!

No more!

Diran, I wasn't put off by your tone or anything, maybe just the tone of the post. I've felt the same way as James... I suppose I just don't anymore. Friends tend to read this site. It just seemed demeaning to me, and condescending. Maybe I'm reading into it things that are untrue. Behind the small talk and wanting to see if others have something to say about things I wrote is simply the happiness that I have friends who will probably see it and are involved. For all the things we have and don't, at least we have people involved with us that don't get paid for it.

To tell the truth, I really was just trying to say the word "comments" as many times as I could in one post. I didn't mean anything hostile. It just came out like it did [kind of "stream of conciousness"], I didn't revise as I went. Sorry if people were offended. It wasn't my intention.

James said...

Hey Diran. I didn't take it as being hostile at all. I don't require harmony to think well about you anyway.

In the city ladies look pretty
Guys tell jokes so they can seem witty
Tell a funny joke just to get some play
Then you try to make a move and she says "no way"
Girls a fakin' ... goodness sakin'
They want a man who brings home the bacon
Got no money and you got no car
Then you got no woman and there you are
Some girls are sophistic... materialistic
Looking for a man makes them opportunistic
They're lyin on the beach perpetratin a tan
So that a brother with money can be their man
So on the beach you're strollin'... real high-rollin'
Everything you have is your's and not stolen
A girl runs up with somethin to prove
So don't just stand there, bust a move
